I'm Kathy Schober

HELPING YOU LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Since 1990, I have been helping folks buy and sell most likely their largest asset -- their home.  Whether someone was buying their very first home or selling the home they raised their children in, each situation was unique and special unto itself.  I can honestly say I was honored and privileged to be part of that process.

Over the years, I became very aware that people needed to be assisted and educated in all aspects of a real estate transaction.  It's not something they do every day and with all the changes in the market, folks needed my help!

If they were selling, usually the home needed to be pre-inspected, staged, cleaned, decluttered and made "model home" ready for the public to view.   In purchases, the buyer needed to know different types of financing, loan programs, contract ins and outs, as well as area information.    

I have a solid work history as a Realtor with 12 years as an Illinois state licensed loan officer.  Also, I worked at a Chicago law firm assisting counsel with commercial and residential transactions.  My experience is vast, and my marketing skills are cutting edge.

MY UNIQUE Story

Back in the day before I was in "the business", I found myself needing to sell a condo and wanted to buy a single family home.   A home with a yard, something I could move into and improve....you know, something I could make my own.

I called the first real estate company I knew, had a realtor come out.  He listed the property...and I never heard from him again!   My property never sold and I needed to find another agent to sell it!
I never got direction, selling suggestions and  didn't anything about how to maximize my investment.    

So when I got into the business and from this experience, I learned that the Prep Work is a most important stage in getting ready to sell.

How crucial is Prep Work?   Essential, actually.   That is, if you want to maximize your profits.

Now I spend time counseling my sellers on properly getting their homes ready for sale and this Prep Work has helped folks make more money...$5,000...$10,000... $20,000 and in some cases, $30,000+ more on their properties than if they did nothing.  

This is a step I feel is overlooked in my industry.   My clients appreciate this pre-step so much that I have worked by referral only basis for a very long time.
